Gathering evidence

Please scroll down this page for links to evidence gathered to date.
Like all planning policies, a neighbourhood plan needs to be based on a clear understanding of the place it relates to. It needs to be backed by solid evidence. Surveys and public consultations form only a part of this. The Neighbourhood Plan team has already started gathering additional evidence to support policies which may be included in our Plan. This is a huge task and will take many months. If you have specialist knowledge you think might be helpful, please contact us. You can read more about the process here.

Types of evidence

Depending on the topics covered in our Plan, evidence might be required on subjects such as: Demographic profile - population, social and employment statistics and trends; Natural environment; Historic environment; Built environment and land use; Housing stock; Local employment and industries; Business and retail centres; Community facilities; Local infrastructure; Transport; and more...

Here's some of the evidence we've gathered so far...
