HAVE YOUR SAY!
How to comment on the Datchet Neighbourhood Plan

Picture
The Datchet Neighbourhood Plan team has been working with local people to create a set of planning policies for Datchet which address the issues you raised.
The  Regulation 16 public consultation ran from Monday 5 September until midnight on Monday 17 October 2022
Thank you to everyone who took the opportunity to comment,
to help shape future development in Datchet

Where to see the Plan

Picture
RBWM publicised the proposed Plan widely to bring it to the attention of people who live, work or carry on business in the Neighbourhood Plan area (the Parish of Datchet). During the consultation period, it was possible to view the Plan during normal opening hours at
  • Datchet Parish Council Office
  • Datchet Library
  • The Bridge
Or on the RBWM website during the consultation period. (Please note, it's a large pdf file so it may take a short while to download). Regulation 16 documents are also published on this website, click here. See also www.datchetparishcouncil.gov.uk
You can read a short summary of the plan's contents in a leaflet which was distributed throughout the village earlier this year: click here to read the summary leaflet.

What you can comment on

RBWM conducted this second consultation, known as Regulation 16. Its purpose is to check that the proper process has been followed and that the DNP complies with relevant legislation and meets the ‘basic conditions’. The four basic conditions are as follows:
  • have regard to national policy
  • contribute to the achievement of sustainable development
  • general conformity with the strategic policies in the development plan
  • compatible with EU obligations.
The Plan and your comments (representations) will then be passed to an independent examiner but he/she can only consider those comments which fall within his/her remit to determine whether the draft plan meets the ‘basic conditions’, above, as laid out in The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

How to comment

During the consultation period, comments could be made online, by email or by letter, preferably using the response form. (Response forms were available at the locations, above; on RBWM's consultation portal for online responses, below; or a Word version could be downloaded from the RBWM website.)
  • To comment online, visit: http://consult.rbwm.gov.uk/portal
  • To comment by email, send your email to planning.consultation@rbwm.gov.uk
  • To comment in writing, send your letter/response form to Planning Consultation – Datchet Neighbourhood Plan, The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead SL6 1RF
You could also comment on the referendum area and whether an oral hearing should be held, and ask to be kept informed of the Plan’s progress.

The deadline for making comments was 24:00 hrs on Monday 17 October 2022.
Please note that no late representations can be accepted.
